This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office directly for those services.

Official County Contacts

Because the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility is closed, current custody may be held by a partner facility. The county’s Inmate Control and Coordination office is the local starting point for identifying the appropriate custodian. The Sheriff’s Office handles warrants, prisoner transportation, and related functions, but it does not operate a verified public booking roster.

The Inmate Control page directs families and friends to the actual facility where a person is housed, including partner county resources. Do not use historical SCCF directories as present-custody confirmation.

Records and Court Routing

For a county record request, use the Susquehanna County Right-to-Know page. Law-enforcement requests go to the District Attorney’s Office; other county records go to the Open Records Officer. The county recommends the statewide form and lists righttoknow@susqco.com for routing.

Clerk of Courts
County Courthouse, PO Box 218, Montrose, PA 18801
570-278-4600
Criminal: ext. 6642; Civil: ext. 6641; Collections: ext. 6677
Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

A written criminal search requires a name, date of birth, and Social Security number and costs $15 per name. For online court information, use the Pennsylvania UJS portal. The Clerk is a court-record source, not a jail roster or automatic photo provider.

Choose the Right Source

These records answer different questions, so the correct office depends on the event and current custody state.

For a borough report, begin with the arresting police agency. Montrose has an online municipal records portal; other agencies may publish their own request procedure. A request for a photo should identify the person, date range, agency, and likely receiving facility, then ask the recipient to identify another custodian if needed.
